Question 7

What do I need to rent a vehicle from Coxempire?

Accepted Answer

You'll need a valid Australian driver's licence (or an international licence if visiting), a credit card or debit card for payment, and proof of identity. If you're planning to use the vehicle for rideshare, we'll also help you with Uber registration and NSW point-to-point compliance.

Question 8

What is the minimum rental period?

Accepted Answer

Our standard rental term is a minimum of 3 months. We specialise in long-term rentals — this isn't a daily or short-term hire service. We also offer 6-month, 12-month, and rent-to-own options. Contact us to discuss what works for your situation.

Question 9

What's included in the weekly rate?

Accepted Answer

Everything. Your weekly rate includes GST, comprehensive insurance (covers both private and rideshare use), registration and CTP, scheduled servicing, and roadside assistance for factory-related incidents. The only extra is excess kilometres — if your total usage exceeds 8,000 km over your four-week rollover period, excess is charged at $0.10/km.

Question 10

Is insurance really included for rideshare driving?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our comprehensive insurance covers both private and rideshare (Uber) clients. This is one of the key advantages of renting through Coxempire — you're properly covered whether you're driving for personal use, Uber, or both.

Question 11

I've never driven an EV before. Can you help me?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. EV onboarding is part of our service. We walk you through how to charge the vehicle, how to plan your trips around charging stations, and how to get the most out of regenerative braking and range management. You'll feel confident before you drive off.

Question 12

How many kilometres can I drive?

Accepted Answer

Standard rental clients receive 2,000 km per week, giving a total allowance of 8,000 km over each four-week rollover period. If you use less than 2,000 km in a particular week, the unused kilometres automatically roll over and can be used during the remaining weeks of that same four-week period. At the end of each four-week period, the kilometre balance resets and a fresh 8,000 km allowance begins — unused kilometres do not carry forward into the next period. If your total usage exceeds 8,000 km during the four-week period, excess kilometres are charged at $0.10/km. For example: if you use 1,500 km in Week 1, the unused 500 km rolls over, giving you up to 2,500 km available for Week 2. During promotional periods, the weekly limit may differ (e.g., 1,500 km/week).

Question 13

Can I take the vehicle interstate?

Accepted Answer

Please discuss interstate travel with us before booking. Some vehicles may have restrictions on interstate use, particularly regarding EV charging network access. We'll work with you to find the best solution.

Question 14

What is the cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

Cancellations made with reasonable notice are generally not charged. We're a boutique, relationship-driven business — just give us a call or WhatsApp message as early as possible if your plans change.

Question 15

Do you offer rent-to-own?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we offer rent-to-own arrangements on select vehicles. This allows you to rent with the option to own the vehicle at the end of your term. Contact us to discuss which vehicles are available for rent-to-own and how the arrangement works.

Question 16

Can you help me register for Uber?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Rideshare operator support is one of our specialities. We help you navigate Uber registration, ensure your vehicle meets NSW point-to-point transport compliance standards, and provide ongoing support. We hold Point to Point licence BSP-417052.

Question 17

Do you offer vehicles for rideshare driving?

Accepted Answer
